He is a past president of the Washington Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.

His practice has been largely with the elderly adult population but he enjoys seeing patients of all ages, including children. As part of his professional career he has been on multiple overseas mission trips with the Lions In Sight group. These clinics help those without access to vision care or glasses obtain care.
As an associate to Dr. Swedberg, Dr. Riggs provides comprehensive eye health exams and refractive services. To best meet our patient’s needs, Dr. Riggs works closely with Dr. Swedberg providing co-managed medical care when necessary and communicating with your family physician or other health-care providers to ensure complete eye health management.
His personal interests include bicycling, vintage bike events, knife making, gardening, and fountain pens. He has been a certified Patches Pal since 1962!
Dr. Kuntz grew up in Indianapolis. He attended Stanford University, where he majored in Biology and German Studies.
He pursued medical school at UC San Francisco. While at UCSF he met his wife Alice and they got married during their last year of medical school. He spent a year after medical school as a research associate in the Koret Vis

In 1993, he and his wife matched together at the University of Washington Medical Center in ENT and Ophthalmology respectively. He has been practicing Ophthalmology for 20 years.

Lynn joined the practice in Summer of 2021. With 15 years of Ophthalmology and Optometry experience as a Certified Ophthalmic Surgical Assistant and Certified Scribe Lynn oversees Clinical Operations including triage, clinical care, and surgical scheduling for both cataract and oculoplastic surgery.
Lynn is a graduate of Cal-State Bakersfield focusing on Healthcare Administration and Information Technology. She is currently working on her COT and COE certifications and in addition to organizing clinic she serves as Vision Director for the Seattle/King County Clinic.
When she is not in the office she can be found adventuring with family, riding her motorcycle, or volunteering in the community.
Katya Voronenko, COA, OSA
Katya joined the practice in Spring of 2022 with over 10 years of experience as a COA in corneal and refractive surgery. She is currently working on her COT Certification.
She is our newest member of the team and we look forward to serving our patients with her!

Joleen joined the practice in Fall of 2021 with 10 years of optometric experience and is currently working on her COA Certification.
Joleen will be serving as our Optometry Liason for Dr. Riggs.
Joleen is a Washington native and when she isn't preparing you to see the doctor she can be found hiking, playing basketball, or spending quality time with her family.
Edward
Edward, a Certified Professional Coder, enjoys the intricacies of medical insurance. He oversees credentialing and carrier relations.
He is the main Point of Contact regarding insurance and billing. He loves to educate patients regarding their insurance.
When he’s not at the office his interests are gaming, cooking and family.
Mishelle
Mishelle is passionate about first impressions, taking care of patients needs as well as problem solving. She is the point of contact to discuss medical insurance, prior authorizations, and referral needs.
With 33 years of Customer Service experience, and 14 years in Medical Administration she is a key member of our Patient Services Team.
When she isn’t planning office events or helping with office organization, she enjoys spending time with family, her 3 amazing grandsons, river rafting, and football.
Caitlyn
Caitlyn is our talented Patient Coordinator. You will see her when you walk into the office, greeting patients as they check in and you will hear her when you call to schedule or change appointments.
Caitlyn is a graduate of Peninsula College and comes to us with four years of experience in an administrative position. She recently moved back to Washington from Alaska.
Caitlyn likes to read, listen to music, and hike when she is not serving our patients with excellent customer service.
