Steven Swedberg, MD, PS

Dr. Swedberg is a board-certified ophthalmologist, having earned Diplomate status with the American Board of Ophthalmology. His practice focuses on comprehensive ophthalmology with a specialization in anterior segment and oculoplastic surgery.


A native of Bellingham, Washington, Dr. Swedberg holds an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from 

Dr. Swedberg is a board-certified ophthalmologist, having earned Diplomate status with the American Board of Ophthalmology. His practice focuses on comprehensive ophthalmology with a specialization in anterior segment and oculoplastic surgery.


A native of Bellingham, Washington, Dr. Swedberg holds an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Harvey Mudd College, located in Claremont, California. He went on to pursue his medical degree and complete residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Washington. 


Dr. Swedberg is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), American Academy of Ophthalmic Executives (AAOE), the Washington Academy of Eye Physicians (WAEPS), and the Washington State Medical Association (WSMA). Additionally, he has served as a past president of WAEPS.

Lynn Girdlestone, COA, OSA, OSC


Lynn joined our practice in the summer of 2021, bringing with her a wealth of expertise in ophthalmology and optometry, with nearly two decades of experience in the field. 


Lynn is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, including triage, clinical care, and surgical coordination for both cataract and

Lynn joined our practice in the summer of 2021, bringing with her a wealth of expertise in ophthalmology and optometry, with nearly two decades of experience in the field. 


Lynn is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, including triage, clinical care, and surgical coordination for both cataract and oculoplastic surgery.  She serves as the primary point of contact for all matters related to surgery, diagnosis counseling, vendor relations, and patient feedback.


In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she holds leadership roles as Vision Director for the Seattle/King County Clinic and The Special Olympics Opening Eyes Program. Furthermore, she serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for Ophthalmic Professional Magazine. 


Lynn is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmic Executives (AAOE), American Academy of Ophthalmic Personnel (AAOP), Ophthalmic Photographer's Society (OPS), and the Washington State Healthcare Leaders Association (WSHLA).

Justine Voyles, COA, OSC


Justine is our newest ophthalmic technician who transitioned from an administrative to a clinical role. She joined the practice in fall of 2021 and is an integral part of our clinical team.


You've seen her greeting patients and scheduling appointments, but now you will see her in the back office preparing patients f

Justine is our newest ophthalmic technician who transitioned from an administrative to a clinical role. She joined the practice in fall of 2021 and is an integral part of our clinical team.


You've seen her greeting patients and scheduling appointments, but now you will see her in the back office preparing patients for the doctors, measuring glasses prescriptions, performing scans, assisting in surgeries, and assisting the surgical coordinator with the logistics of office-based surgery. 


Justine is a graduate of Peninsula College and comes to us with years of medical administrative experience and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmic Personnel (AAOP).

Edward, a Certified Professional Coder, enjoys the intricacies of medical insurance. He oversees credentialing and carrier relations. 


He is the main Point of Contact regarding insurance and billing! He loves to educate patients regarding their insurance and assist patients in understanding their benefits and responsibilities.

Sarah is our talented Front Office Lead who joined our team in Spring 2023! 


 As the first point of contact when you arrive at the office, Sarah will warmly welcome you and ensure you're checked in and prepared for your appointment with the clinical team. 


Her friendly voice will also be one of the first you'll hear when you call us.

Romelline


Romelline is one of our newest additions to the admin team, joining us in the spring of 2024.

 

With over 10 years of medical administration experience under her belt, Romelline is well-equipped to provide top-notch support. 

 
Romelline coordinates patient care between our office, primary care, and subspecialists, ensuring seamless communication and a stress-free experience for every patient. She is our main point of contact for scheduling surgery.
